Last sunday, Raw was a Pay-Per-View worthy eventful night! We saw two titles change hands, a couple of rivalries blooming, a some great WWE action. Tag Team Champions The Great Khali & Snitsky were up against Umaga & Kurt Angle defending their hard-earned title they aquired at Backlash. In a brutal steel cage match, were both teams displayed great action, it was Snitsky who completely dominated the cage. While Angle and Umaga were busy keeping The Great Khali down, Snitsky was like a child in a candy store, clubbing and slammin’ away on his opponent. Umaga then realized that Snitsky’s strategy would very soon pay off in a succesful title defense, he then unleashed a relentless attack on Snitsky, who got momentarily stunned by a well executed Samoan drop. Kurt Angle locked in submission move after submission move to keep Khali down. Apparently, Khali gave in to Kurt’s submissals and both Kurt Angle and Umaga climbed the cage simultaneously to their victory as new WWE Tag Team Champions!
In other action, Mankind dominated Stone Cold Steve Austin, but eventually got disqualified after he nailed SCSA with a thunderous chairshot. The former Tag team, who were first in line for the titles, developed a deep hatred for eachother in the past few weeks. VWE has announced that Stone Cold has sustained a mild concussion due to Mankind’s chairshot, and will not be able to compete in the next few weeks. SCSA had this to say: “Mankind has completely lost it, i don’t know what came over him. Here’s the bottom line: I WILL be back when HIS Judgment day arrives”.
The Intercontinental Division has developed itself to be the most attractive division since the start of VWE. Mr. Perfect is the latest and greatest after deafeating Ric Flair in a record-breaking pin, only seconds after the match started! Raw’s GM changed the stipulation at the last minute, after Mankind and the Nature Boy conspired backstage. Mickie James was added as special referee. Flair was baffled by her appearance and found himself in a pinning predicament. She called it right down the middle, Mr. Perfect got the win. And the Title.
“If the Hart Foundation want to earn their spot on Raw, they’d better get their act together!” Those are Shawn Michaels’ heated words after the match he and Chris Masters won after a fierce protest with Raw’s GM on Raw last sunday. Shawn is furious at Jim Neidhart. “He keeps breaking the friggin’ Tag rules, interfering CONSTANTLY! I was so fed up, I was ready to leave the building right away“. Venom promised to talk to Neidhart and to give him a copy of the book Rules of Professional Wrestling. The match started out with both teams well on their toes, determined to entertain the millions and millions of fans. But as the match progressed, it became obvious that Jim Neidhart wasn’t completely recovered from his wife passing away last month. Venom asked Shawn to take it easy on Jim and that he’d have a talk with him.

What should be a walk-over in Edge’s mind, turned out to be a nightmare for our WWE Champion. In a “training match” Edge squared off in a two on one match against MNM. In a mind blowing match, Johnny Nitro profiled himself as a ruthless S.O.B. He gained the crowd’s respect that night. They loved MNM. Edge on the other hand may even have trouble to exactly remember what happened, he got the beating of a lifetime. Many of the superstars in the lockerroom stood speechless after the flawless performance of MNM. Some even went ahead of matters and knew right then and there that MNM are the future Tag Team Champions. Edge was hospitalized after taking blow after blow. He was discharged the next day, and miraculously sustaining no major injuries. Raw’s GM Venom hopes that he will be able to defend his title at Judgment Day: “if Edge is a no-show, he forfeits his title automatically. I’ve got plan B ready“.
Alas, with television time costing loads of money, the real main event got a no-go. Besides, MNM gave a hell of a show, it was doubtfull if this main event got top it. After reviewing his recent victories, Raw’s GM Venom decided that The Legend Killer Randy Orton would get a title shot at Judgment Day against Edge. When asked what “Plan B” was, Venom answered: “Look, I highly doubt that Edge will not show, but IF that’s the case, I will reveal on Judgment Day what Plan B is, and not a moment sooner“.
