Mr.Perfect Curt Hennig has signed with RAW this past week after a brief run at Smackdown. Hennig last match against The Rock 4 weeks ago at Smackdown was a controversial one, in which he – according to his own words – was screwed out of the #1-contendersspot to face the World Heavyweight Champion. Clearly upset Curt left the show and no showed at the last Smackdown event.
Now Mr.Perfect is back! Curt Hennig has set his goal at obtaining the Intercontinental Championship and will face his former mentor Ric Flair and his old nemesis Shawn Michaels in a triple threat match at Backlash! Will old rivalries revive at Backlash? Most probably!!!

One of WWE’s most memorable tag teams is about to re-unite at Backlash this Thursday : The Hart Foundation! Bret The Hitman Hart and Jim The Anvil Neidhart brought havoc in the tag team scene back in the early 90’s and won tag team gold on several occassions. After a very long absence by Jim Neidhart signed up with RAW to support Bret Hart and eventually enter the tag team competition once again.
With the combination of the Hitman’s technical skills and the raw power of the Anvil, The Hart Foundation is a force to be reckoned with! At Backlash The Hart Foundation re-unite and team up with Lashley to take on Triple H, Stone Cold and Mankind!

Rowdy Roddy Piper returns to the WWE at BACKLASH this upcoming Thursday to referee Smackdowns Tag Team Championship match between the champs Mr. Kennedy & Matt Hardy versus Chris Benoit & RVD.
With recent happenings around the performance and violation of rules by Benoit and RVD the special guest referee Rowdy Piper will see upon strict following of rules within the first title defense by Smackdown’s Tag Team Champions.
Piper says : ” I have seen how RVD and Benoit exploits the shortcomings of Smackdown referees and I have witnessed how RVD and Benoit violates rule by rule over and over again, hurting the action Smackdown’s Tag Team division delivers. ” ” But not on my watch RVD! Not when I am around calling the shots in that title match Benoit! Thou are warned!!! “
The Rowdy One is back in business! But will he be able to keep things under control during the upcoming tag team clash!?

Last Sunday 13.05.2007 both RAW and Smackdown shows presented several championshipmatches in which competitors battled to get a hold on championshipgold.
Edge became the WWE champion after defeating John Cena in a gruesome match. Although John Cena gave his best effort, Edge came out on top after spearing John Cena 2 times in a row, leaving him motionless on the canvas.
On Smackdown JBL was awarded with the World Heavyweight Championship title when he pinned The Undertaker 1-2-3. A devastating clothesline from hell finished off the phenom.
Shawn Michaels overcame all odds in a Fatal Four bout competing with Bret the Hitman Hart, Nature Boy Ric Flair and the Masterpiece Chris Masters. HBK made Chris Masters tap out to the sharpshooter, winning the WWE Intercontinental Championship belt.
Booker T took on William Regall for the U.S. Championship. Regall was pinned by Booker after taking a viscious Book End, resulting in Booker T becoming the U.S. Champion.
In Tag Team action it was the tag team of Mr. Kennedy and Matt Hardy winning the Smackdown World Tag Team Championship fighting off the teams of Benoit & RVD and Kane & Finlay. Mr. Kennedy pinned R.V.D., while all hell broke loose outside the ring when Benoit manhandled Kane.
On the RAW show the grotesque team of The Great Khali & Snitsky cleared the house battling the tag teams of Stone Cold Steve Austin & Mankind and Kurt Angle & Umaga. The Great Khali & Snitsky became the WWE Tag Team Champions by pinfall.
Last but not least, the Smackdown brand introduced the WWE Cruiserweight Championship division with a 6-man elimination Battle Royal. Chavo Guerrero came out on top – winning the title – when Daivari, Psycosis, Kid Kash, Gregory Helmms and Rey Mysterio were eliminated.

With rumors rising to a new alltime high level, this sunday’s pay-per-view Backlash is wobbling on it’s foundation. The two general managers are having a dispute over what the card should say and on top of all that, some superstars are contemplating a strike.
Vacation
Raw’s GM, VenoM, said to Judge John that he would not be present due to a short vacation his in-laws planned for him as a surprise. VenoM claimed that he tried to reschedule the short trip to another weekend. However, some Smackdown superstars think that VenoM was overwhelmed by what he saw on the inter-brand houseshows on the road to backlash, thus trying to chicken out. VenoM: “I tried to reschedule, on top of that, it was a surprise weekend. I’m sorry I couldn’t get them that far. I even offered them a two-week cruise in the caribbean for compensation.” VenoM also had a message for the SD lockkerroom: ”If you think that Raw is even remotely impressed with what SD showed on the road to Backlash, they’re wrong. I’d like to ask Judge John, GM of SD, to speak to his superstars. We here in the WWE do not tolerate this kind of backstabbin’ behaviour. This is not the last word that’s been said about it. I am looking forward to Backlash, whether I am there or not”.
Backlash
So what will happen next sunday? will there be a PPV, will the inter-brand war heat up further? Most superstars can’t wait untill Backlash. Yes sir, we promised you a great main event. The world is watching!

With Backlash (on tv) one week away we carefully plan ahead to schedule our first PPV event! As RAW last Sunday has some unfinished business, where GM Venom needs to decide if the scheduled matches will take place, are changed or scrapped, we will complete the PPV card for Backlash.
Its necessary to set up a few dates for our upcoming shows. Optional is Friday 4 May 20.30 RAW & Smackdown & Sunday 6 May 20.30 Backlash! Please leave a message if you can make it on both dates!

22.04.2007 - Venue: Padakker Arena; sold out
Raw will put the vacant tag team titles on the line! Who will be the new Tag Team champions? Find out tonight on RAW!
Also Booby Lashley and Randy Orton are brawling over who should have the best lockerroom? This may well be a turning point for Randy Orton! Such Diva-like behaviour is not taken well by Booby Lashley. The former ECW heavyweight champion should have no trouble putting Orton away. But Orton is known for his unrelentless attacks, I have no doubt that this match will become an all-out slobbernocker!
Edge, Triple H and John Cena are going to battle out who will go on for the heavyweight title. Next week on raw there will be a continuation for the rest of the heavyweight roster, culminating in triple threat match in 2 weeks to see who will earn a no. 1 contender match.
And then there is the intercontinental title belt. Come Backlash, we will know who our champion will be. Until then, Chris Masters and Ric Flair will have to battle it out. On the other side of the intercontinental spectrum Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels relive one of the most controversial matches in wrestling history: The Montreal Screwjob. But this being 10 years from the incident, will the outcome be any different?
And then our main event for tonight: The tag team championships are on the line! First it is decided via two tag matches who will be in that title match. That promises to be one hell of a main event! One thing’s for sure: the roof will go off the building!
=============================================
- SCSA & Mankind vs. The Great Khali & Snitsky [The winners earn a title shot]
- MNM vs. Umaga & Kurt Angle [The winners earn a title shot]
- Booby Lashley vs. The Legend Killer Randy Orton, Lance Cade and Trevor Murdock in a Three-on-one Match
- Triple Threat Match : Edge vs. Triple H vs. John Cena
- No Holds Barred – Montreal Revisited Match : Shawn Michaels vs. Bret “The Hitman” Hart
- “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters vs. Ric Flair
